    Z.A.P. 51

    May 20, 2019 by Kbwwe21

Hello, my fellow Zootopians! Prepare to get Z.A.P.ped! It's time for this week's edition of the Zootopia Appreciation Post, or Z.A.P. for short. Every Saturday, I'm gonna be posting a different Zootopia-related topic that we can all discuss.

For today's topic, I would like to talk about muzzles.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

A muzzle is a device that is placed over the snout of an animal to keep it from biting or otherwise opening its mouth.

During Judy's first day at the ZPD, a muzzled wolf is seen being taken through the Police Department lobby by a tiger officer. The wolf protests through his muzzle that his opponent bared his teeth first, to which the officer rolls his eyes.

Near the middle of the film, Nick is telling Judy abou…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the Zootopia Junior Ranger Scouts.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

As you know, the Junior Ranger Scouts is a group of young prey mammals in Zootopia that is similar to the Boy Scouts.

The group is first mentioned by Nick around the middle of the film as he tells Judy about his childhood. As a kit, Nick wanted nothing more than to be a scout, so his mother "scraped together" enough money to buy Nick a brand new uniform.

In a flashback to his childhood,…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the tame collars.

As you know, in the original early version of Zootopia, the bigotry and unequal treatment of the predator population was made very clear. Mandatory for all predators, tame collars were made to keep predators from acting out of aggression and potentially hurting prey animals by shocking them when they became enraged or overly emotional. It has a light representing the predator's emotions: green meaning "calm", yellow signaling a warning, and re…

Hi. I was just wondering, does anyone remember a fanfic of Judy and Finnick in which she visits Finnick and gets him to wear his elephant costume and after he begrudgingly does so and toots per her desire? Then she asks him to do it one more time and he refuses, but then stares at her for a moment before tooting one final time? Judy then tells him he is so cute and hugs him and he growls, then squirms around before growling again and Judy tells him, "Finnick, stop. It's only a hug." I am trying to find it, but I cannot seem to. Anybody care to tell me if they remember or what happened to it? I really wish to read it again.

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the diets of the citizens of Zootopia.

As you know, the mammals in this society are civilized and moralistic. Their universe is very similar to our own. We eat food, we drink stuff, and so do they. Which begs the question: What do the mammals eat?

For animals that are vegetarians, they survive off of a diet of vegetables and fruits. This seems to be the case for the prey mammals, which seems simple enough.

And now, we need to address the elephant in the room, a…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about Nick and Judy's questionable actions.

Now, I love the fact that Nick and Judy are partners on the police force, but after watching the movie again, I noticed that the duo had done some questionable things.

First, when Judy uses the recording on the carrot pen to blackmail Nick, there is audio evidence of Nick committing a crime punishable by jailtime. Since Nick never gets jailed, Judy should not be able to stay as a cop since she tried to cover up a crime. Ma…

My fellow Zootopians, I would like to address something that showed up on Zootopia's Facebook page. About a week ago, some parody posters for some kind of music festival were made and posted on there.

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the town of Bunnyburrow.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

As you all know, Bunnyburrow was Judy's original home before moving to Zootopia. It is located about 211 miles away from the city of Zootopia, which director Byron Howard compared to "what Yonkers is to Manhattan - way out in the country." Bunnyburrow (and the "Tri-Burrows Area" as Stu Hopps mentions) is likely inspired by Pennsylvania, a state known for having boroughs instead of towns. Wellsb…

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday. And this post is for last Saturday.

So, here we have the most chilled out mammal in all of Zootopia, Yax the hippie yak! A wise and somewhat unusual animal that provided an important clue in the search for the missing Emmitt Otterton.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

Gideon Grey appears to be a very rude and mean character at the beginning of the film. On top of this, it is possible that he was less educated than other children his age, seeing as how he pronounced "DNA" as "dunnuh". Zootopia Oscar Posters 2019

My fellow Zootopians, I am so angry! I look forward every year to seeing the Zootopia version of the movies nominated for the Oscars, and they didn't do it this year! Why?!

It can't be because Zootopia has declining popularity. If it did, Disney wouldn't be pumping out more graphic novels. There's three coming out this year.

And it's not like Disney didn't think that any of the movies had animal pun potential. I mean, here are some that I came up with:

    • A Star is Born - A Star is Shorn

The poster would feature Dawn Bellwether

    • Roma - Roama

We first see him driving a moving van, where he almost runs over Nick Wilde and shouts, "Watch where you're going, fox!" Showing hybrid fox mixed with rabbit children would likely spoil the motion picture, if shown it would have to be a sequel showing courage and confidence and letting the hybrid chilren be the character to show the movies moral. But even when they're pure fox and pure rabbit some picture books have these two species laughed at, they're in plenty of picture books that could inspire doubts of what to let these fox and rabbit mixed children do. Playing together or chased by something that would eat them in real life, it's the scenes of excitement shown in their enemies that would ruin the  movie. Such a hybrid would have to be good at playing dead or playing hide and seek when an enemy is after them, that could quickly take away the joy of the…

So, we all had a good laugh about Nick selling Mr. Big a skunk-butt rug, and how he took it as a sign of disrespect. My question though is: Where did he get it? It was confirmed in January 2019 and will start construction sometime this year! It's really cool that a land based on Zootopia is behind made, only that it's in a foreign place. Zootopia is successful in China, due to being the highest-grossing animated film there with $236 million, reason that it got up to $1 billion worldwide. Would it be cool if we actually get that here in Walt Disney World in Animal Kingdom? I hope it happens! What do you guys think?

Hello, my fellow Zootopians! Prepare to get Z.A.P.ped! It's time for this week's edition of the Zootopia Appreciation Post, or Z.A.P. for short. Every Saturday, I'm gonna be posting a different Zootopia-related topic that we can all discuss.

For today's topic, I would like to talk about fox repellent and Fox Away products.

So, this thing up here is behind a lot of controversy in-univese. I hate this thing! Like, if I had to choose my least favorite object in the movie, it would definitely be the fox repellent.

So, the first time that we see the products is when Judy is getting ready to leave for Zootopia. The Fox repellents are put into a "care package" assembled by Bonnie and Stu. The package includes some snacks, a fox repellent spray, a …

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the Cliffside Asylum.

So, the first time that we see it is when Judy and Nick track the wolves' van to the facility after looking at the traffic camera footage on Bellwether's computer. The first thing that came to mind when I first saw it was, "Whoa! This place looks creepier than Arkham Asylum from Batman!" Then after that, Nick and Judy sneak past the wolves' after starting a howl. That part was part funny, part awesome. 😁

Inside, the duo find Mr. Manchas a…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about Benjamin Clawhauser.

Yep, everyone's favorite peppy officer/police receptionist.

So, the first time we see him is when Judy arrives at the ZPD on her first day. He calls her cute, which Judy points out is only allowed within her own kind. He quickly apologizes and says it's not right for an overweight donut-loving cop like him to be stereotyping her. We then get a funny moment with Clawhauser finding a donut hiding in his neck fat, subtly reinforcing the stere…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about Duke Weaselton.

That's right. Weselton, er, I mean, Weaselton, Duke Weaselton. The one individual in Zootopia that is even shadier than Nick Wilde.

So, after watching him in the movie, I could tell that he was a small time criminal. Apparently, him and Nick know each other, because of their questionably legal businesses, which brought up an interesting point. If Nick didn't have the heart to change from neutral affiliation to good, could he have ended up as bad…

This could a family comic idea or a TV series idea or even a idea for sequel scenes of Zootopia. If I renamed this Marian Nick Wilde knew, I'd give her a name like Poppy, Ruby, Sunny, Lily, Eclipse, Stella, Destiny Victoria or a name with some similar meaning to one of these.

Motion picture or Literature it would be fun to see Nick have his own young playful kits.To make the family stuff even funner they could borrow some themes from picture books that have a fox or a whole fox family in the cute illustrations, that would be a way to quickly figure out the scenes of family joy for Nick Wilde. Doing this could even help add relatives to his story of celebrating the holiday called Yule too. I can picture Nick Wilde even happier to have kits…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about why Zootopia was and is a huge success.

But first, whoo hoo! I finally did this on a Saturday! Also, this is the 200th blog on this Wiki!

So, when I saw Zootopia for the first time, I immediately fell in love with it. I mean, besides the amazing visuals and important message, was the amount of feels it brought. The relationships between the various characters just felt real and relatable. The struggles, the failures, the triumphs, the "Aha!" moments, the were all…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about Disney's acknowledgment of Zootopia and the resurgence of interest in it.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

Anyway, let's get on with the subject at hand. After Zootopia finished it's run in theaters, Disney seemed kind of quiet about it. The last new merchandise came out in the Fall, and Disney was already busy heavily promoting Moana for its release. It wasn't until the 2017 awards season that the movie gained attention for being nominated for Best Animat…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about Leodore Lionheart.

Once again, apologies for not doing this on Saturday. Also, this is for last Saturday, not this Saturday.

Anyway, Lionheart is, oh, I'm sorry, was the mayor of Zootopia. He seemed kinda shady to me from the start. At Judy's graduation ceremony, he awards Judy her police badge and assigns her to Precinct 1. Afterwards, he pushes Bellwether aside to take press pictures with Judy. There, I thought to myself, "Oh, boy. This guy is one of those glor…
