    November 21, 2019 by Kbwwe21

Hello, my fellow Zootopians! Prepare to get Z.A.P.ped! It's time for this week's edition of the Zootopia Appreciation Post, or Z.A.P. for short. Every Saturday, I'm gonna be posting a different Zootopia-related topic that we can all discuss.

For today's topic, I would like to talk about Chuckles.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

As you know, Chuckles is a male wolverine in Zootopia: Crime Files. He is a crime boss/criminal mastermind who is suspected of vandalizing the Natural History Museum in Case 6: "The Big Catch". He is the mastermind behind the frequently mentioned Sequoia Towers project.

While searching for the suspect who vandalized the Natural History Museum, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find a fallen banner and paw prints. The lab…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the things I didn't like or things I would have changed in Zootopia.

For the past year and a half, I've been talking about what we like about Zootopia. Well, today, I wanted to talk about what I would have changed about it.

First, why does Bellwether hate predators so much? I think she's a very sadistic villain and all, but her hatred can't just stem from Lionheart's mistreatment of her. I think it would have helped if we had seen some kind of backstory for her,…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the deleted scene where Judy brings Nick to her apartment.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

This deleted clip finds Judy bringing Nick back to her apartment for safe refuge from the criminal conspiracy they’ve gotten themselves into in Zootopia — and waiting for her is the entire Hopps clan, visiting from rustic Bunnyburrow for a necessary check-up on their cop daughter. When Mr. and Mrs. Hopps mistake Nick for Judy’s boyfriend, it’s right out of Thre…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the Tiger dancers.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

Whenever pop star Gazelle performs onstage, she always has these guys as her backup dancers. They're built, they're light on their feet, and some say that they're actually kind of attractive. 🐯

Nevertheless, no matter where Gazelle goes, they go.

Their first appearance is just after Manchas goes savage, in the form of a single dancer with Clawhauser's face on it, seen in the Dancing with Gazelle app on…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the cities outside of Zootopia.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

As you know, the city of Zootopia isn't the only city in this...state? Country? World? There are places that are nearby or hundreds of miles away, like Bunnyburrow and Deerbrooke County. But, what other places are there? From what I've seen in various screenshots, social media pages, and this Wiki, there are a lot of cities that exist. Of course, the majority of them are just animal puns…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the "Nick's Checkup" deleted scene.

In a deleted scene from an early draft of Zootopia, Nick Wilde goes to the Walk-In Clinic to receive a routine physical checkup from Dr. Armadillo. The doctor removes Nick's tame collar and stands back, anticipating some kind of aggressive reaction from him. Instead, Nick enjoys a few moments with it off as he is examined. For today's topic, I would like to talk about the Zootopia Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

One of the most important things in a movie is the musical score. It can evoke emotions, bring realism to the environment, and help immerse you into the story. Shakira, Michael Giacchino, and everyone at Disney have done just that with Zootopia.

The following is a list of tracks from the Zootopia Original Motion Picture Soundtrack:

The Zootopia Police Academy is an academy located in Zootopia. Police officer cadets, including Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, train here under command of Major Friedkin. Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

Jerry Jumbeaux, Jr. is a male African elephant who owns Jumbeaux's Café in Zootopia. He is first shown in his café, refusing service to Nick Wilde and Finnick due to the fact that they are foxes, and are thus deemed untrustworthy.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

As you know, one of Zootopia's early drafts was a series of films called Savage Seas, or The Savage Chronicles.  It was an idea for a James Bond-esque series of spy flicks. Several titles for movies in the series included:

    • Savage Seas
    • Savage City
    • Savage Earth
    • Savage Land
    • Savage Times

Savage Seas was to center around Jack Savage and his journey to the "South Seas".

As you know, before Zootopia became the cinematic masterpiece we all know and love, it was once a James Bond animal parody movie called Savage Seas. It's main protagonist was Jack Savage, a jackrabbit, who worked as a spy and would be sent out on secret missions.

But Jack didn't work alone. He had the help of Skye, the fox mechanic and engineer. She was super smart and would usually work on and/or build Jack's gadgets and vehicles. She would also come along…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the saddest moments in Zootopia.

A good movie can be memorable for making you laugh or smile, but some can also make you cry. The reason this happens is because you, the viewer, see the characters as real individuals, instead of a fancy drawing with a voice behind it. They become very human and relatable, so when they feel sad, we feel sad. And here are some of the biggest tear-jerker moments in Zootopia:

    • Gideon Grey bullies Judy Hopps

Before I discuss this week's topic, I'd like to get real for a second. A year ago, I first started the concept of the Zootopia Appreciation Post with the intention of keeping the memory of this wonderful film strong and alive. I had noticed that activity on this Wiki wasn't as frequent as th…

    Z.A.P. 51

For today's topic, I would like to talk about muzzles.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

A muzzle is a device that is placed over the snout of an animal to keep it from biting or otherwise opening its mouth.

During Judy's first day at the ZPD, a muzzled wolf is seen being taken through the Police Department lobby by a tiger officer. The wolf protests through his muzzle that his opponent bared his teeth first, to which the officer rolls his eyes.

Near the middle of the film, Nick is telling Judy abou…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the Zootopia Junior Ranger Scouts.

Apologies for not doing this on Saturday.

As you know, the Junior Ranger Scouts is a group of young prey mammals in Zootopia that is similar to the Boy Scouts.

The group is first mentioned by Nick around the middle of the film as he tells Judy about his childhood. As a kit, Nick wanted nothing more than to be a scout, so his mother "scraped together" enough money to buy Nick a brand new uniform.

In a flashback to his childhood,…

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the tame collars.

As you know, in the original early version of Zootopia, the bigotry and unequal treatment of the predator population was made very clear. Mandatory for all predators, tame collars were made to keep predators from acting out of aggression and potentially hurting prey animals by shocking them when they became enraged or overly emotional. It has a light representing the predator's emotions: green meaning "calm", yellow signaling a warning, and re…

Hi. I was just wondering, does anyone remember a fanfic of Judy and Finnick in which she visits Finnick and gets him to wear his elephant costume and after he begrudgingly does so and toots per her desire? Then she asks him to do it one more time and he refuses, but then stares at her for a moment before tooting one final time? Judy then tells him he is so cute and hugs him and he growls, then squirms around before growling again and Judy tells him, "Finnick, stop. It's only a hug." I am trying to find it, but I cannot seem to. Anybody care to tell me if they remember or what happened to it? I really wish to read it again.

For today's topic, I would like to talk about the diets of the citizens of Zootopia.

As you know, the mammals in this society are civilized and moralistic. Their universe is very similar to our own. We eat food, we drink stuff, and so do they. Which begs the question: What do the mammals eat?

For animals that are vegetarians, they survive off of a diet of vegetables and fruits. This seems to be the case for the prey mammals, which seems simple enough.

And now, we need to address the elephant in the room, a…
