Bongo is a male rabbit in The Missing Carrot.
Physical Appearance[]
Bongo is an unusually large rabbit with tan fur and a cream muzzle and paws. He wears an olive-green t-shirt, black overalls, and a maroon baseball cap.
Role in the Comic[]
At the beginning of the comic, Bongo watches while Bonnie and Stu Hopps mourn over their missing prize carrot. Bongo suggests fining the contest the carrot was to be entered in, but young Judy Hopps decides to investigate. She says that the carrot was stolen and dashes off with Bongo, Bonnie, and Stu in her wake.
Judy approaches Earl Hackles and accuses him of stealing the carrot, but Earl points out that the shovel in Judy's proof photo belongs to the Stoutheart family. Meanwhile, Bongo attempts to start a conversation with Bella Hackles, Earl's daughter, but Bella shrugs him off.
The Stoutheart family informs the Hoppses and Bongo that it is their shovel, but Judy realizes that the shovel couldn't have been used for anything important. She realizes that the shovel was a distraction.
They return to the contest to find that the Hackles family had already won the contest. Bongo comments that Bella looks very happy, and Judy realizes that Bongo has a crush on Bella. Judy says that Bongo stole the carrot so that the Hackles family would win and Bella would receive a medal. Bongo admits that this is all true and asks Bonnie and Stu to forgive him, which they do. Bongo says that even though Bella will never realize his work, he just wanted to see her smile.
