Detective Oates is a male horse in the game Zootopia: Crime Files. He is a detective that assists Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
Physical Appearance[]
Detective Oates is a tall, somewhat muscular-looking horse with auburn hair and a cream-colored mark running down his nose. A swept-back, off-white mane stretches down the back of his neck, and he sports green eyes, as well as a black muzzle and ears. His outfit consists of a white detective's coat and a magenta tie, as well as a police badge hanging around his thick neck. He is always seen with a wheat stalk in his mouth.
Role in the Game[]
Making his debut in Slashy Tires, Detective Oates assists Judy and Nick in every case onward by speaking in metaphors that only Judy seems to understand. Judy also seems to idolize him, while Nick appears to be annoyed by him.
