| Fawn |
- “Blood! Blood! Blood and death!”
- ―Fawn in the play
Fawn is a male deer who was cut from Zootopia. He attends Woodlands Elementary School.
Physical Appearance[]
Fawn is a young deer with short, stubby antlers.
Development[]
In an early draft of the film's opening, Fawn is seen as one of Judy Hopps' childhood friends in a school in Zootopia, where they rehearse their roles for a "Zootopia Pride Day" play. Fawn plays the role of a wild deer, and narrates Zootopia's past. He explains that thousands of years ago, the world was a dangerous place where predator and prey didn't get along, and savage beasts lurked in every shadow. He is then "attacked" by a wild tiger, played by Jaguar, who pretends to eat his fake intestines and heart. Fawn says he is glad he was born in present day, as back then he would be lunch. As he heads back to his seat, he is praised by Judy, who liked the fake blood. He watches Judy sing on stage for her musical number, and groans along with the audience in annoyance when Judy refuses to sing about wanting to grow carrots.
Trivia[]
- Fawn's role in the play was adapted into the final film, in which the role was given to Judy.
