The Lynxley Journal[1] is a historical artifact that appears in Zootopia 2.
Background[]
The journal was written by Agnes De'Snake over one hundred years ago. It details the inner workings of her invention, the weather walls. Credit for her work was taken by Ebenezer Lynxley, who would be hailed as the author and inventor until the Zootennial.[2]
Description[]
The cover of the journal features Zootopia's mainland, with the most prominent districts being different colors;
- The Rainforest District is dark green and has a rain drop symbol in its center.
- Tundratown is cyan and has a snowflake symbol in its center.
- Sahara Square is orange and has a circular sun symbol in its center.
- Savanna Central is yellow and has a symbol representing a patch of grass in its center.
- Reptile Ravine is yellowish green representing a lighthouse with a snake at the bottom
Role in the Film[]
The journal is planned to be displayed at the Zootennial Gala, where it is stolen by Gary De'Snake. When he is confronted by Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, he explains that he needs it to clear the bad reputation of snakes and help his family return home to Zootopia. Judy decides to trust him, and she and Nick help him escape with the journal.
