Officer Bloats is a male hippo and a minor character in Zootopia 2. He works for the Zootopia Police Department.

Physical Appearance

Officer Bloats is a sturdy hippo with dull pink skin and bristly gray hairs on his lips and chin resembling both mustache and goatee. His eyes are green. He wears a blue police uniform.

Role in the Film

In the beginning of the film, Bloats and Officer Higgins join in the chase of Antony Snootley, and get spikes covered on them during the chaos Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde cause. After Chief Bogo assigns Judy and Nick to therapy, Bloats is seen with other officers laughing at the two rookies in the lobby.

Later, he arrives at the Zootennial Gala with the rest of the ZPD to rescue Bogo and get him to an ambulance.

Bloats is one of the officers that pursues Judy, Nick, and Gary De'Snake in Marsh Market, running underwater and disturbing service at Below Deck.

Officer Bloats goes to Tundratown with Higgins and the ZPD to stop Judy, Gary, and Pawbert Lynxley. When Pawbert tries to kill Judy with venom, the police think Gary is trying to kill Judy, so Gary fights Bloats and the rest of the ZPD off to avoid arrest. When it's revealed that Judy, Nick, and Gary have been framed, Bloats, Higgins, and Officer McHorn arrest the Lynxleys.

Near the end of the film, Officer Bloats watches Judy and Nick get awards from Mayor Winddancer. Later, Bloats is seen sitting with Higgins and the other ZPD partners, congratulating Judy and Nick at Partners in Crisis, when the rookies give their speech about their differences.
