Synopsis[]
Newly engaged, Fru Fru kicks off wedding planning with enthusiasm and flourish—at least until her scene-stealing cousin Tru Tru arrives to assume the role of Shrew of Honor. A battle for the spotlight ensues until a close call with a giant donut reveals that for better or worse, no one knows you better than family.
Plot[]
Filmed in the style of a reality show, Fru Fru is hanging out with her friends Christine, Charisma, Brianca, and Mandy and preparing for her upcoming wedding. As she is trying to decide who her maid of honor is going to be, her cousin Trudy, going by Tru Tru, arrives and disrupts everything. It turns out that Fru Fru had promised her to be her maid of honor since they were children, but she has a habit of being very controlling. Fru Fru's friends sneak her away to go shopping for a wedding dress. She picks one she likes, but her friends reveal in the talking head segment that they hate it, though they tell her the opposite.
Tru Tru arrives and is about to reveal the dress she got, but Fru Fru angrily tells her that she ruins everything and they get into a fight with one another, resulting in Tru Tru storming off. Fru Fru continues to go shopping when she is nearly crushed by a large donut, only to be saved by Judy Hopps. This puts her life in perspective and she goes and makes up with Tru Tru, who reveals that the wedding dress she got for her was the one that belonged to her mother on her wedding night. Tru Tru reveals that she made one more change: having the bouquet be made of night howlers. On the night of the wedding, Fru Fru throws the bouquet and Tru Tru catches it causing a blue mist to emerge that she and the bridesmaids inhale deeply and immediately become savage plunging the reception into chaos. The last scene shows Tru Tru diving towards Fru Fru as it cuts to black.
Overlap with Zootopia[]
The Rodentia gang slips out to shop for a dress at Klawfeld, where Fru Fru and Tru Tru have a big fight. Fru Fru needs to comfort herself with "retail therapy" and moves onto "Mousy's" although only Charisma and Christine follow her in. Here the episode shows the scene from the film of Fru Fru leaving Mousy's and crossing the street while praising the leopard-print jeggings she saw only to encounter the run-away donut but is saved at the last minute by Judy Hopps who complements Fru Fru's hair.
It is worth noting that that two shrews that follow Fru Fru across the street are wearing different clothing than Charisma and Christine when they enter the store, plus they both gained very large hats. Also, this scene is not a direct reuse of the film footage, but a recreation of the scene because in the episode, Fru Fru's companions have the same "cartoony eyes" that Fru Fru has whereas in the film, they had black, beady eyes like a real shrew.
Observations[]
Unlike the other episodes of Zootopia+, by including Night howlers in the closing minutes, this episode creates some plot/character challenges that reasonably could have affected the main Zootopia story. Given that Judy and Nick were at the reception an hour or two before the bouquet was thrown means that Emmitt Otterton going savage would have been fresh on Mr. Big's mind.
Then for all five bridesmaids to suddenly go savage within seconds of catching the bouquet would seem pretty unusual. Also, the bridal party was a mixture of shrews (predators) and mice (prey) which contradicts the ZPD press conference held in a few days which stated that only predators were going savage.
These are all significant clues with the bridesmaids going after a floral bouquet, Otterton being a florist, so it seems very strange that someone as intelligent as Mr. Big did nothing with them. At the very least he could have tipped off Judy anonymously, or, since his daughter was actually threatened by the attack, a more likely reaction would be for him to take matters into his own hands and solve the mystery himself.

- Klawfeld is a play on the New York bridal shop Kleinfeld, which is featured in the series Say Yes to the Dress.
- The model for the room where Fru Fru shows her friends the dress she picked was reused from the Disney Princess Room from Ralph Breaks the Internet.
