The Zootennial is a city-wide event held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Zootopia in Zootopia 2.

The term "Zootennial" was first used for the Zootennial Stadium, a prominent location only present in an early script for the film. The stadium hosted a world's fair, and was the original location for Gazelle's concert.

Description[]

The colors used to promote the event are green and yellow. For the celebration, Savanna Central is shown to be decorated with banners for the Zootennial. A parade with a marching band is organized, and the Lynxley family contribute by hosting the Zootennial Gala in Tundratown.

Role in the Film[]

For the Zootennial, Mayor Winddancer unveils a statue of Ebenezer Lynxley, who is credited for inventing the weather walls. The statue is promptly destroyed by Antony's van, which careens off a bridge as the result of a car chase initiated by Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.

Judy and Nick later go undercover at the gala to apprehend Gary De'Snake, who plans to steal an antique journal detailing the weather walls, purportedly written by Ebenezer, which is set to be displayed there to clear the bad reputation that snakes have in Zootopia. When Judy (alongside a reluctant Nick) decides to trust Gary, the three of them flee the gala and go on the run.
