THE CALL OF THE WILD!
After getting a report of a children's scout troop in trouble, Officers Hopps and Wilde head to Tundratown on the outskirts of Zootopia to investigate - and their appearance doesn't sit well with the local Grizzly clan!
The ZPD partners reassure the bears that they're only checking up on the wayward scouts, who are busy honing their survival skills. But as Nick helps the kids out by drawing on his own scouting past, Judy becomes suspicious of their Den Mother's curriculum - which seems to involve a awful lot of panning for gold!

Plot[]
Early in the morning, Judy is sleeping in bed when she is woken up by Nick, who is outside in their police car. Judy reminds Nick that it is Saturday and not a work day, but Nick informs her he took interest in notices at the Zootopia Police Department asking for volunteers to speak to the Zootopia Junior Rangers. Judy says she was aware of those, but didn't think Nick would be up for it, and prepares to go with him. On the drive to the camp, Nick says that the young mammals there could use some role models. Judy asks if this is the same scout pack he tried to join when he was a kid, and Nick reluctantly admits that it is. He says as it was a rough time for him, he wants to see if things have changed since then, and show the scouts that a predator can do something for the community. He asks if they are going to talk to the scouts about safety, and Judy says that they're mostly there as chaperones while they try to fish. As Miss Bev prepares her scout troop to greet them, Nick puts on fishing gear while Judy stays in her police uniform, explaining that when she doesn't wear it, kids keep questioning whether she really is a police officer. The scouts greet Judy and Nick, and are excited to meet Judy and ask her about her police work. Nick tries to get in on the conversation, but the scouts tell him that they want to take this opportunity to talk to an officer, unaware that a displeased Nick is an officer as well. Nick announces that it is time to learn to fish, but Miss Bev says that it is too early for the salmon spawn, so they will be learning to pan for gold instead, which disappoints Nick. The scouts trample him as they grab their canoe.
As everyone travels upstream through the national park, Judy insists Nick still try to have fun. Miss Bev demonstrates how to look and pan for gold, intriguing the scouts. Judy asks what she does with the gold, and Miss Bev says that it is sent to be analyzed for worth and sold to fund wilderness work. Judy and Nick try to join in and find gold of their own, when Judy notices their canoe hasn't been properly tethered, and is drifting down the river with Bobby, who fell asleep inside it. They rush to catch up with it and go in separate directions when they see a fork in the river. Nick is suddenly caught in a trap by the Bear Clan - Zeb, Zeke, and Paw Bear - who accuse him of trespassing in their territory and looking for their fishing hole. Nick tries to tell them he is a police officer, but they don't believe him either and laugh. Zeb thinks about using Nick for fishing bait, but decides not to because he heard that salmon spawning season isn't for two more weeks. Paw tells him that there are actually a lot of salmon currently at the river, which makes Nick question what Miss Bev said. He tells them to let him down because he needs to rescue Bobby, but Paw believes that Nick is lying. Zeb and Zeke worry about the possibility of a "young-un" being in danger and convince Paw to help.
Judy spots the canoe about to go over a waterfall and tells Nick, who tells Paw. Nick and the bears cut through the bushes to catch up, with Nick being surprised at their speed. Judy tries to reach for the canoe, and Nick suggests he swim out to it, but Paw devises his own plan. He, Nick, Zeb and Zeke climb up a tree, and their weight brings it down, allowing them to reach the canoe and save Bobby just in time. As Nick, Zeb, and Zeke step off the tree, it springs back up and sends Paw flying, which Zeb and Zeke apologize for. Judy thanks the bears, and Nick shows her the falls are teeming with salmon, reminding her that Miss Bev said they wouldn't be here yet. Zeb and Zeke see all the salmon and excitedly decide that this is the "perfect time". As they rush to the river determined to "get a whole mess of 'em", Judy and Nick think the bears are going to hunt the salmon, and expect a grizzly sight. However, Zeb and Zeke pull out cameras and photograph the salmon, hoping to win a photography contest. Miss Bev scolds the bears for disturbing her gold panning area, and Judy and Nick confront her. They tell her they called the park service, who confirmed they don't have a program for selling minerals, and by going to pan for gold, she has violated park law because she was only allowed to be in the national park for the salmon run. Bev admits to this, but says it wasn't her idea, as she was instructed to by an anonymous animal sending her text messages. Chief Bogo arrives in a helicopter to arrest Miss Bev. Nick says they are no closer to the unknown theft ring boss who messaged and paid Miss Bev and the criminals they have previously arrested, but Judy resolves to ask Bogo for assistance with their case. She says she has a new direction - back to where this all began.
